It’s smoky, spicy, creamy, and best of all healthy - suitable for plant based, keto, low-carb, and gluten free eaters! Serve with anything - as a dip for veggies, as a topping for chimichangas and quesadillas, or even as a sandwich spread!
Mmm, smoky flavor… so good! There are so many varieties of meals you can make with a little bit of smoky spicy ingredient, it’s almost addictive! A total passion of mine is creating dishes and cooking with smoky flavors - that’s how much I love it.
And what else screams smoky flavor like chipotle sauce, am I right?!
Whether you want a fiery flavor, mild smoky flavor, a smoky tang or just a smoky background aroma in your dish, chipotle is the pepper for the job.
I don’t know if I've mentioned this before, but I really am a BIG Mexican cuisine fan! It’s really a big hit in my family as we all love the zesty flavors, and even the mild spice fans in my family love the food!
I’m constantly trying out and firing up the oven to cook up Mexican dishes. Whether I making a healthy alternative for nachos, or a hearty plate of chimichangas for dinner, I'm always working on getting better at mastering the amazing spices of Mexican food.
I even make homemade Mexican falafel wraps - yep, it may sound weird but sheesh it’s good!
One of my absolute favourite condiments in mayo - I love it on basically everything - and a recent discovery of mine is a homemade chipotle mayo… oh yeah it’s tastes as good as it sounds!
My Sugar-Free Chipotle Mayo recipe is creamy, light, seriously smoky, and packs a yummy punch in the mouth.
Oh, and it’s all good for vegans, keto and low carb eaters, and well as those sensitive to gluten, since it contains no flour or eggs.
This sugar-free chipotle mayo is so versatile - you can top a salad with it, put it in wraps, butter it between a sandwich, slap it on burger patties, top off nachos with it, and so many other delicious things...
This will be today's recipe for day 19 of my Sugar-Free September Recipe Challenge, where I’ve been sharing sugar-free recipe versions of some of the BEST foods, and at the same time also eating no-sugar myself the whole month.
Many a time chipotle sauces can be riddled with sugar - to help easily balance the spices - but what I've learned on my sugar free cooking journey, is that with a little experience, a thoughtful palate and maybe a bit of obsessive personality, you can balance food flavours without adding any sugar.
I used to buy chipotle mayo from a local grocery store - I was totally obsessed with it, but it had a little added sugar in it, so I could only eat it on occasions.
Until suddenly, my local grocery store stopped selling it.
I then researched where I could find it and I could only find it at a Publix at least 30 mins away - to drive that far out just to get one item only because I was obsessed with it seemed super wasteful.
I told my baby brother JJ who was also obsessed with chipotle mayo the sad news. Devastated, he asked me why I, his best cooker (it’s what my younger siblings sometimes call me) don’t just make my own.
Light bulb moment in my head! I thought, it’ll be cheaper, I can make it sugar free, create less container waste, and I bet I can make it even more flavorful.
My homemade sugar-free and vegan chipotle mayo is super smoky, creamy, and easy to make, and dude does it taste amazing!
Don’t let me stop you… whip that apron on, throw it together and get dolloping this sugar-free chipotle mayo on your fave foods right now!
With all of that said, here’s your recipe!
