A creamy and tangy homemade AND sugar free balsamic vinegar salad dressing recipe. Store-bought salad dressing can be not only loaded with hidden unhealthy ingredients, but also packed with sugar! So, before you go to buy that bottle, try this DELICIOUS sugar-free dressing that’s low carb, keto, and even vegan friendly, made with balsamic vinegar - I promise you won’t miss the store bought stuff!

Do you love to eat those supposedly “high-quality” restaurant and store-bought salads more than homemade ones, because of those fancy, yummy dressings they’re soaked in?

Well, the thing is, that lovely store or restaurant salad dressing is most of the time packed with sugar.

Yep, that means you could be pouring corn syrup over that bowl of crunchy greens! Yucky, right!? MOST manufacturers and restaurants add sugar to their dressing, even if it isn’t supposed to be sweet.

Here’s the good news:

It’s #SugarFreeSeptember, which means I’m going to be sharing at least one sugar-free recipe every day for the whole 30 days of the month. Each recipe will be a sugar-free version of foods that normally contain sugar, and will be still or actually even tastier than the originals.

Which brings me to my sugar-free creamy balsamic vinaigrette dressing!

Yes: you can whip together a yummy, creamy, high-quality homemade dressing - quickly and healthily. Bonus: you’ll know everything going in your own food, wonderful right?

It comes together with only 4 main ingredients, and is totally sugar-free, keto, low carb, and gluten free. Can I get a yaaaassss?

They may label their dressing as high-quality, but most of the time companies and restaurants dressings aren’t - and they still charge a pretty penny for them.

But with my sugar-free creamy balsamic vinaigrette dressing, you can create your own high-quality dressing - and that label doesn’t mean expensive. It means creating a delicious mixture of individual ingredients that can stand on their own.

I know just how you can make the perfect homemade vinaigrette, that’s actually creamy too, and this is my personal go-to recipe. Sound good, eh?!

Lucky for me, I've never had to worry about finding a balsamic vinaigrette salad recipe, because I’ve always had it. You see, my wonderful and loving mom has always drizzled this balsamic vinaigrette dressing over our family’s salad. It’s also super versatile - it goes well with more than simply salad - and trust me, the whole family will enjoy their greens; we always have.

The original recipe was given to my mom by my great grandmother, she passed it down to me. It’s super simple, but super special.

I can remember helping my mom whisk this dressing from as young as four years old, as she told the sweetest memories about her grandma, and as I stood on a little kitchen stool. You know, I have always been so fascinated with cooking and how things are made from such a young age.

Literally this is the perfect sugar-free homemade balsamic vinaigrette dressing - it doesn’t contain any added sugar or sweetener, and it doesn’t need it. It already the perfect flavor and combo of ingredients.

This creamy balsamic vinaigrette is the condiment for your table.

What is a creamy balsamic vinaigrette vs a basic vinaigrette?

A basic vinaigrette is comprised of oil or something acidic like vinegar, and a creamy balsamic vinaigrette is just an extension of the classic, using balsamic vinegar and adding sour cream for creaminess (it tastes great with vegan sour cream or mayo too). Simple and versatile, just like the restaurant dressings.

It’s tangy, creamy and just overall wonderful.

To make this dressing even better, it only needs a few common pantry ingredients, a bowl and whisk! Minimal clean up people… oh, yeah!

Once you’ve dried this fab recipe you can mix it up too. Some great variations you can make are

• A vegan variation you can use for this dressing, is simply replacing the sour cream with coconut cream, or vegan sour cream/mayo.

• Give it a milder taste by using apple cider vinegar instead of balsamic.

• Try adding some herbs, like, dill, parsley or basil.

Storing this dressing?!

Lucky this creamy balsamic vinaigrette can be stored well in the fridge, lasting as long as your sour cream will on its own - around a week. Simply whisk the dressing again if it separates, perfecto!

Trust me, there’s always going to be room for this creamy balsamic vinaigrette on your table, enjoy.
